A builder broker is a trusted advisor who will help you find the right builder for your project. Building Brokers are similar to mortgage brokers, insurance brokers and energy brokers. Like a mortgage broker, your builder broker will help save time and stay within your budget. An independent building broker supports you from the beginning of your build, helping to avoid any problems and guiding you through the building process. A genuine broker isn’t aligned with any one builder and is working to ensure the best possible outcome for your new home. Using a builder broker gives you access to a large cross-section of designs through multiple builders. So instead of approaching various builders, you can access a range of plans by chatting with one person.
How much will this service cost me?
We offer our services at no cost to you. When we help you find the best builder for your new home, the builder doesn’t pay a sales commission to their internal salesperson. Instead, they pay us a set fee which is the same or less than the commission they would pay to their internal salesperson. Because the builder pays for our fees, your home will cost you the same or even less than you would pay directly. That’s because negotiating the best price with the builder to get the best outcome for your new home.
Why is it so hard to compare plans, inclusions and prices?
Unfortunately, there’s nothing ‘free’ when you build a home. If you’ve started comparing plans, you’ll notice prices and inclusions can vary considerably, making it difficult to know which builder to choose. Some builders provide insufficient allowances or leave out essential inclusions altogether. Others offer additional sums for items that should be fixed cost. Don’t be influenced by low base prices that appear cheaper than a plan with similar inclusions. How much commission do you receive?
We happily disclose the commission value of any project we undertake to all of our clients. That’s because we believe developing a partnership based on trust is essential. You can be assured though, we take the same flat fee from all builders, meaning we are objective and unbiassed and give you the best advice based on your individual circumstances.

You can walk away from us at any point that you’re not completely satisfied. The same goes for your builder, providing you haven’t signed a building contract with them.

How long does the building process take?
This can depend on the size of the home, council permits and availability of materials. We make it a priority to streamline the process without cutting corners or sacrificing quality. Adhering to deadlines is one of our priorities.
What if I want to make changes to my design?
Our pricing allows up to five changes, provided construction hasn’t started. We’ll be happy to discuss other options or provide further details when we meet. We want to ensure you’re delighted with your home when it comes time to move in!
